But who is Lex?

An Uncomfortably
Long Bio
W/ name drops!
I grew up on Long Island, NY as a Jehovah's Witness and was knocking on doors as soon as I could walk. I was the 2nd of 7 kids and definitely the weirdest.
I went to school for Fine Arts and after a short time doing radio at Stony Brook University's radio station WUSB I started learning comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC. I was lucky enough to study under such powerhouses as Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh, Michael Delaney, Billy Merrit and worked closely with Chris Gethard. Eventually I got on BEATRICE, a Harold House team at The UCB, which at the time was very coveted.
A couple years in, I took a class with Armando Diaz, considered one of the masters of teaching long-form improv. During that time Armando was in the works of developing what eventually became The Magnet Theater. We became friends and I consider him to be my mentor in how I approach comedy and sometimes, life. At The Magnet I was part of the sketch teams Horny Bitches and ADULTS and improv teams The Future, DGH, and Junior Varsity.

While in NYC I was able to share the stage with some of comedies top talent. Actors like Mike Myers, Donald Glover, Dan Gregor, Ellie Kemper, George Basil, Paul Sheer, Aubrey Plaza, Rob Riggle, Ben Schwartz, Jason Manzoukas, Paul Downs, John Murray, Jarrett Berenstein, and Maddy Smith.

I moved to LA and studied stand-up with Greg Dean, eventually performing with amazing comedians like Ian Bagg and Marc Maron. After a conversation with MadTV's star Bobby Lee, I decided to go back to NYC and focus mainly on stand-up. I reconnected with my good friend Shawn Wickens and we started touring clubs and festivals with our live show and podcast Stoner Morning Show. The travel bug got me and I went out on what should have been a 12 month tour of the eastern hemisphere.

While traveling through Asia, the Covid pandemic hit and I decided to stay in Bangkok instead of going back to the states to sleep on someone's couch. I wasn't sure whose couch that would be but my sisters affirmed it definitely wouldn't be theirs.
So I grew roots here in Thailand and decided that I would make it my mission to grow comedy here.
I designed and co-founded Bangkok's premier comedy club, The Comedy Joint on Khaosan Road. Now I am focused on developing new talent and bringing in the best comics from around the world to show them just how great Thailand is!
